Ice Cream Craze

One of my favorite desserts would be ice cream. So the first time I’ve heard about this game, I immediately tried it out. It was really fun having your own ice cream parlor and serving your customers.

The owners of the shop were planning to sell their shop but their daughter had been dreaming about working at the shop. She then asked her parents if she could try to work there and eventually buy the shop from her parents. And they agreed.

Just like any other time management games, this is a game wherein customer orders and you have to prepare what they want in the least possible time or else, your customers will surely lose their patience and might leave. In between levels, you can buy upgrades for your shop which can you help in so many ways.

Unlike other games where you can carry two orders at the same time, in this game however, you can only carry up to one order. If you got the wrong flavor of ice cream or have picked up another cone, you may place it on the extra plate. However, that extra plate may only carry one item also so it’s better if you have more extra plates.

In this game, you have to drink espresso to move faster than usual but it won’t last long. Moreover, you have to pick up the money before it disappears.

You know how clowns love to juggle things? Well, you can do that too when you’re serving them. They would want 3 flavors in one cone and you have to look carefully on what the exact order of the flavors they want in their cone. Their patience is low so you have to make sure you would serve them their orders on time.

Well, the game may seem very challenging but I loved it. Just like how I love eating ice cream.

SpongeBob SquarePants Diner Dash

Do you love watching SpongeBob SquarePants? How about playing Diner Dash? Well, I’ve got a game for you. Why not try the SpongeBob SquarePants Diner Dash. It’s a whole new game, similar to the original Diner Dash, but this time catering to the much younger crowd. Who doesn’t love SpongeBob anyway?

Instead of seeing Flo operating the diner, here you will see SpongeBob, working for Mr. Krabs who wants to expand his Krabby restaurant. The instructions are similar: seat customers, get orders, deliver food, get the check and clean the tables as quickly as possible. The happier, the better! I mean, you wouldn’t want them to leave right and lose some money?

Of course, there will be different customers with different levels of patience and generosity. But at a later level, you may get a podium so you can chat with the customers waiting in line and distract them from complaining too much. The game may be familiar, but every level will provide an interesting and challenging twists.

Jane's Hotel

A lot of time management games have been released with different storylines but almost the same instructions on how to play the game. You will just need to control the character to serve your customers in a timely manner.

Another great game I loved is the Jane’s Hotel. I have also played its 2nd game release which is the Jane’s Hotel Family Hero.

We all know that working for a hotel is not an easy job especially if you’re alone operating the whole business. The instructions may be easy; just serve all your customers with just a click of the mouse. Give them what they want fast. And in between levels, you may upgrade your hotel so you can fully satisfy your customers and provide 4-star service to your guests. If you want to earn bonus points, you may chain actions together.

Also, a cleaning lady is available to vacuum the rooms after each guests leaves and water the plants to prevent from drying. In the 2nd game, there will be another crew to help you when a certain machine does not work.

Although this might be similar to the Diner Dash games, I think the game still lacks a certain quality. I think it should improved more on the type of customers and make the game livelier.

Jojo's Fashion Show

I love this game.

It's not the usual fashion management game that takes place in a store and helps your customers to get what they want. You get to dress your models in different themes and stylish outfits from a simple jeans and shirt to elegant dresses and showcase these stunning outfits on the runway.

You get to go to 5 fashion capitals to showcase your styles. I loved it that the game has so many clothes to choose from. If you think you don’t have the right fashion sense and dress up your models appropriately, you can just click on the name of the style above each model to check out on the description on what kind of clothing the model needs. Jojo and Rosalind will give out specific details on what the style is about.

The two stylists will also show you their own signature outfits and if you were able to re-create those outfits, at the end of the game, you will be able to unlock those outfits in dress-up mode. Dress-up mode is the place where Jojo can dress up models ranging from a variety of clothing and signature outfits that you have unlocked. Moreover, you can save those outfits you made on the models by getting a photo and save it on your computer.

If you think you won’t be able to use the clothes stored at the bottom of the game, you may be able to shuffle it to change the styles, change only the bottoms, change only the tops, or change only the shoes. You may also choose to pick an outfit off the rack and save you from getting your models out on the runway with just their undergarments. Another helpful trick is when you get to choose more time by simply dazzling your audience for a few seconds.

Diner Dash

Whenever I go to the restaurant, I would always think of Diner Dash. How long will the crew get our orders and deliver our food to us.

As I have previously posted, my love for online games started with Diner Dash. I have loved every game it has released. I have loved time management and strategy games. I think it’s the best game ever and it is very addictive! I don’t get bored when I play it!

I love it that the persons behind the game have been releasing different game settings and stories in each game they release.

The game is pretty much easy to play. You will just click your mouse to control Flo. Moreover, you get bonus points if you chain actions together and seat them according to their clothing colors. You could get full hearts by giving them a glass of soda. You can even hire another crew to clean the dishes, give customers free soda, chat with the customers waiting in line or even play music to increase everyone’s patience. Or else, the customers would leave when they lose their patience for waiting too long for something.

In between levels, you will be able to upgrade your shop to better serve your customers. And like any other games, there will be different customers with different levels of patience.

Burger Shop

I don’t remember when this game was released but when I got to try it out for an hour, I instantly loved it. It was so worth it. You get to enjoy 80 levels in story mode, and while your rank is getting higher, you’d get to unlock the other game modes like the challenge mode and the relax mode. And you think that’s it? Absolutely not! You know when you get to finish a movie or in this case, the whole game, you would see the credits afterwards… In this game, you would also see what happened to your customers – like what they are doing now, what they are up to, and where could you find them. And after you have completed the story mode, you get to unlock the expert mode too. In short, you’d get to enjoy another 80 levels of the game! Isn’t that great?

I really enjoyed playing the game. You would get trophies too while you get a higher rank and could view your hall of fame. And yes, some levels are simply confusing. The orders of the customers can be really confusing especially when you have to add their favorite sauce: ketchup, mustard and ranch dressing or when they want their fries and sodas in a smaller size or when the customer orders 3 burgers at one time like what the surfers do (they are actually my least favorite customers).

One of my favorite customers would be the clowns. They would order some crazy combinations of food that is not available in the menu. They prefer their burgers with 4 patties, combination of chicken and burger patties in one sandwich, an empty fry carton with sauce, and mustard or ketchup on their ice creams. Who would want to eat that?

Final Rating: 9/10 – I would definitely recommend this game to everyone. Try it and surely you’ll have fun.

Make love not war.

Who always see their guy friends and family members in front of the computer to play online games?

I remember how the boys in our group would always disappear to play online games. They know how the girls would complain every time they would mention that they are going to play. So whenever we all hang out, they would tease us that they would rather play than go out with the girls.

Our guy friends love playing Defense of the Ancients, Counter Strike and other war games. One of my girl friends and I tried it once and we really never enjoyed it. Hey, I know of some other girls too who enjoy this kind of games but it's not really my thing.

Most of the people I know think that if you tell them you're playing an online game, it's the usual war games. No, it's not all about that. There was one time, my friend called me up and I was taking a long time before I could answer because I was in the middle of a game and would not want to just pause it. My mom told my friend that the reason I took a long time is because I was playing an online game. And he suddenly assumed that it was one war game that I was playing. But he guessed it wrong.

I love playing games; not the war / fight games. I love playing the other online games from Big Fish, Game House, Play First and Shockwave. I am fond of the games being featured there especially hidden objects, time management and strategy games.

I think that this addiction started with Diner Dash. I really love playing those kind of games and I even influenced my sisters to play that game too and they loved it as well.

Another great game was the Feeding Frenzy. When my nephew was younger than he is right now (take note: he is 7 years old now), he really loves looking at fish. So I told his dad about it and they have purchased the game for him. He was really thrilled and told his grandma about the game. And yes, even grandma is playing it now. It's really fun when the fish gets bigger and you get to eat more fish, and you could actually learn some facts about fish in between the levels.

Before I only get to play the word games like the popular Text Twist where you could scramble the letters and form words. Brick games were also popular back then. And now, there are really a lot of online games found in the Internet. It's a good thing that you can be able to try out the game first, for an hour, before purchasing the game. Hey, you wouldn't want to purchase some crappy games, right?
